Hi Everyone,
Earlier on, I shared how traumatic my 1st trimester was. If you haven’t read it you can read about it here. Today, I want to share with you a post that I really enjoyed reading. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, worry flooded in like crazy. Had I already eaten the wrong things? Taken the wrong medicine? My mind constantly worried. Worrying wasn’t going to be healthy for me or my baby, so I knew I had to prepare myself in many ways, and not just by thinking positively. It’s not like I could just look for the best marijuana strain for anxiety, as I don’t know if this would have any implications on the health of my baby. I had to find other means to stop myself from constantly worrying. I know people who would make use of medical marijuana or some of the CBD products online you can find, and that would be great, but I don’t know how that would impact my child. Perhaps after I’ve delivered the child I’ll give it a go. Pregnancy can be one of the best times in your life, but also some of the hardest. You may have your most worry ever during pregnancy, have your worst fears, or even your greatest anxiety. But I remember praying, and that really helped me combat these feelings so much during my first trimester. For some mothers, the mental conditions that can come with and after pregnancy can be too much. Please note that praying may not be the ideal solution for everyone, should you be suffering in any way with a mental illness and you’re wanting to look after your mental health, you should more than likely try and Get help with your anxiety by utilizing professional services, counselors or psychiatrists.
Here are a few things that you can pray during your pregnancy:
Baby’s Health
You can pray for your baby’s health. It amazes me how much a baby grows each day. Just the human mind alone is so complex, and your baby is being perfectly knit together. You can pray and thank God for all of their little fingers and toes. You can pray for their development and that would be completely healthy.
Your Health
You can thank God for the health that you have had so far. You can pray for any concerns that you have or if you are having any issues with the pregnancy. I have had a lot more pregnancy symptoms like fatigue and nausea. You can pray for strength for your body to carry your sweet baby and for endurance to get through the 40 weeks.
Against Worry
Worry leads to stress, I had so many complications that got me worry about from diet to exercise to almost everything. Ask God for help if this is a big area for you as well. Pray for peace and knowledge.
Baby’s Heart
It is never to early to pray for your baby’s heart and salvation. Pray that they would grow up to know and love God. Pray that you would be a good example for them and help guide them. Pray for grace for them and for their little heart.
Baby’s Future
Pray for your baby’s future. This is a very vast topic. You can pray for the friends they will have, their future spouse, their school adventures, their joys… there are so many different areas you can pray about. You can pray that they would be kind, loving and graceful. You can pray that they would grow big and strong. Just pray for them.
Your Doctor
Wisdom for your doctor is a great thing to pray. Pray that your doctor would be knowledgeable, prepared and the perfect doctor for you and your baby. Pray that they would be diligent in their work and successful.
Your Labor/Delivery
Giving birth terrified me. I was extremely worried about what it would be like. Every baby is different, every labor, every delivery. I just pray for strength, wisdom for doctors, and an easy/quick delivery.
Your Family
Your family plays a big role in your baby’s life. Pray that your baby would fit right in with your family. If they have siblings, pray that God would prepare them for their new role.
Your Parenting
Lastly, but not least, you can pray for your parenting. I fully believe that every child is different, thus your parenting should be different at times. I don’t quite know what to expect, but I do know that we are the perfect parents for this baby. God picked us. I pray that we would be observant, kind, slow to anger and loving. As you all know, I’m the most impatient person in the world. Every day, I pray for patience to raise my child.
Hope this helps for those who are also pregnant the same time.
Thanks for sharing this journey with me!
