Hamilton Albion Waterfalls Trails

Hi Everyone,

Two weekends ago, my husband took me to see the Albion Waterfalls. For those who live in Ontario and have no idea we have any kind of waterfalls that’s so close to home…imagine my surprise when I realize we actually have over 100 falls! Albion Falls is a 19 m classical/cascade waterfall flowing down the Niagara Escarpment in Red Hill Valley, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. With cascade falls the downpour is staggered into a series of steps causing water to “cascade”. One of the most amazing natural phenomena are waterfalls, from Canada, Hawaii, and Iceland (check out this page to see more), there are a lot of wonderful waterfalls for anyone to visit.

We started off in the early morning hoping to beat traffic! It was on a Friday so we didn’t think the falls would be busy. Lucky us, we came at the SAME time with a bus load of tourist. *SIGH* But nevertheless, we still had a lot of fun.

We started off with a hiking trail. It was a pretty short hike, maybe a short 15 minutes and we arrived at the falls!

Short trips are great! I just came back from a Boston road trip. This summer has been wonderful. I’ve really given into the so-called travel bug. I’ve been to Vermont, New Jersey, California, Boston, and now I’m preparing to go to Maine. And I think, one day, when I finally make it to Toronto I’ll have to visit these falls. Hope you have a happy weekend! : )

Oh wow! I am jealous! I was just looking for short trips to take. I’ve never been to Vermont or Cali, but it is on top of my list. Oh! If you ever come to Toronto do let me know so I can show you around!!

Hope you have a good week!

That would be lovely! Thank you! I certainly will as Toronto is on my list of places to go. : ) Vermont is beautiful, but I would give some thought as to what season you want to go in since winters can be harsh. Still beautiful though! California seems great all year round. San Diego is gorgeous. I feel in love with the it…and the beaches. You must try to visit Encinitas and Moonlight Beach. Oh! I’ve blogged about all my travels this summer (California, Boston, and soon Maine) so I’ll leave the link here in case you want to take a look. I hope you had a good week and have a fun filled relaxing weekend!
